The Cycling Tour of Romania, at its 47th edition this year, and marking 100 years of bicycle race in Romania, will be carried out over May – June 12, between Deva (central) and Constanta (south-east), in seven stages and a prologue, with a total route of 1,154 km.
There will take the start 15 teams from eight countries, with the 90 racers being of 17 nationalities Colombian, Greek, Finnish, Ukrainian, Azerbaijani, German, Israeli, Italian, Belarus, Austrian, Dutch, Bulgarian, Turkish, Czech, Moldovan , Spanish and Romanian. Total awards, according to the Regulation of the competition, are worth 25,000 euros.
There will be awarded five different shirts, for as many rankings, each to be supplied by a sponsor: the yellow T- shirt – BRD (for the sprint leader); the red T-shirt – Niro (to the leader of the overall individual ranking), the green T-shirt – Romanian Lottery (for the best climber) the white T-shirt – TNT ( for the most combative racer, the winner after the final points rankings) and the blue T-shirt – DHS (the best-ranked Romanian racer).
