Cycling Cavendish coy about his decision on switching teamsTour de France green jersey winner Mark Cavendish, a target for Team Sky, has decided which team he will ride for next year but is being coy about the destination.

Cavendish has been linked with a move away from HTC-Highroad to Team Sky after becoming the first Briton to take the Tour sprinters' jersey last month.

The British team is already home to national team-mates Bradley Wiggins and Geraint Thomas so would be a natural fit for Cavendish in an Olympic year.

But the Manxman told BBC5 Live: "I want to go to the best place to help me win and that might mean staying where I am now... I have decided. I decided on Saturday, I was in a hotel in Eindhoven. You just know. You know when something's right."

Cavendish, who is among the favourites to win the World Championship title in Copenhagen next month, has just become free to sign for another team for next season.

His decision could have consequences for his current team-mates. The future of HTC-Highroad may depend on his presence, as sponsors like a prolific winner in their team, and he has formed a strong bond with his colleagues in the American squad.
